WordPress Installation Guide

The Go!BrightCart WordPress plugin makes it easy to add e-commerce functionality to your WordPress site without the complexity of WooCommerce.

Prerequisites

• A WordPress site (self-hosted or WordPress.com)
• A Go!BrightCart account
• A Stripe account (for payment processing)

Step 1: Install the Plugin

Download the latest plugin package directly from Go!BrightCart:

• Download the Go!BrightCart WordPress plugin ZIP

Option A: Install from WordPress Admin

1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
2. Navigate to Plugins → Add New
3. Search for "Go!BrightCart"
4. Click Install Now, then Activate

Option B: Manual Installation

1. Download the Go!BrightCart plugin ZIP file from /downloads/gobrightcart-wordpress-plugin.zip
2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
3. Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now
4. Click Activate Plugin

Step 2: Connect Your Go!BrightCart Account

1. After activation, go to Go!BrightCart in your WordPress admin menu
2. Click Connect Account and complete OAuth
3. Confirm your Store ID in plugin settings
4. Run product sync from Go!BrightCart → Sync Products

Step 3: Add Products to Pages or Posts

Once connected, you can add products anywhere on your site:

Using the Block Editor (Gutenberg)

1. Edit any page or post
2. Click the + button to add a block
3. Search for "Go!BrightCart Product"
4. Enter the Product ID and Store ID
5. Adjust width/height options
6. Publish your page

Using Shortcodes

Add this shortcode anywhere on your site to embed a hosted product card:

[gbc_product id="PRODUCT_ID" store="STORE_ID"]

Replace PRODUCT_ID and STORE_ID with values from Go!BrightCart.

For buy buttons on synced product pages:

[gbc_buy text="Buy Now" quantity="1"]

Step 4: Configure Checkout

The checkout process happens securely through Go!BrightCart. Customers stay on your site while checking out.

Styling

The Go!BrightCart plugin includes default styles that match most WordPress themes. You can customize:

• Button colors
• Button sizes
• Cart appearance
• Checkout styling

Advanced Options

Access advanced options in Go!BrightCart → Settings:

• API configuration
• Store selection
• Display preferences
• Performance options

Troubleshooting

Products Not Showing

• Verify your API key is correct
• Check that your store is active in Go!BrightCart
• Ensure products are published

Checkout Issues

• Verify Stripe is connected in your Go!BrightCart account
• Check that products have valid pricing
• Review error logs in WordPress

Performance

Go!BrightCart is designed to be lightweight and fast. If you experience slowdowns:

• Clear WordPress cache
• Check for plugin conflicts
